Epsilon Eta Lambda Chapter
The National English Honor Society was founded March 25th, 2004, by Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society. NEHS was conceived as an outreach to high school students, with whom Sigma Tau Delta seeks to share the same goals that make it an important organization for college-level English majors. NEHS is endorsed as well by Sigma Kappa Delta, the English Honor Society for Two-year Colleges.
On October 11, 2016, at the request of interested students, Stephen F. Austin High School attained its own charter as a member of the National English Honor Society, creating the Epsilon Eta Lambda Chapter on our campus.

On Thursday, December 1, 2016, we will hold our first induction ceremony in the Stephen F. Austin High School Auditorium, at which time we will honor the new inductees who have earned membership into this wonderful organization. For more information, please email Mr. Fincher at [email protected].
The ceremony will begin at 6:30 PM. All members of the community, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend.
